Erika Bachiochi

Erika Bachiochi is an EPPC Fellow and legal scholar specializing in Equal Protection jurisprudence, feminist legal theory, Catholic social teaching, and sexual ethics. She is also a Visiting Scholar at Harvard Law School and a Research Fellow at the Abigail Adams Institute in Cambridge, MA. She speaks widely on abortion, sexual economics, the impact of the new sexual norms on women and the poor, care ethics, and authentic reproductive justice. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ms. Bachiochi’s essays have appeared in publications such as the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy, Christian Bioethics (Oxford University), First Things, CNN, National Review Online, Claremont Review of Books, SCOTUSblog, and Public Discourse. She is a member of the Catholic Women’s Forum and the editor of two books, ‘The Cost of “Choice”: Women Evaluate the Impact of Abortion’ and ‘Women, Sex & the Church: A Case for Catholic Teaching’ (which was our first #FemCatholicBookClub pick!). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Erika’s work remains foundational in our understanding of Catholic feminism, and we are incredibly honored to host her to give her talk “How the Church Beats Feminism at its own Game.”
